Vikings' Adrian Peterson: Has torn meniscus
Peterson has a torn meniscus in his right knee, head coach Mike Zimmer told a local radio station, according to ESPN. Zimmer did not rule out Peterson for this week's game against Carolina.
Analysis:
It sounds like Peterson avoided a worst-case scenario after he left Sunday's game with a knee injury and was unable to put any weight on his right leg as he was helped off the field. We may know more later if more details are released from the MRI that Peterson was set to undergo Monday.
