Sam Bradford is ready to role.

After beginning his Minnesota Vikings career as the backup to Shaun Hill in Week 1, the veteran quarterback will be in the starting lineup for Sunday night's game against the division-rival Green Bay Packers, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Having joined the Eagles in a blockbuster trade as the preseason came to a close, Bradford needed some time to get acclimated with the Vikings' offensive playbook.

The Week 2 matchup with the Packers - as the Vikings play their first game in U.S. Bank stadium - was always thought to be the goal, and all indications are that Bradford did enough over two weeks of practice to have himself prepared.

Bradford provides a substantial upgrade over Hill following Teddy Bridgewater's season-ending knee injury. His addition has the potential to keep the Vikings' offense afloat and help the team to make good on its potential for a deep playoff run.
