Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Lighter going into this season

Evans lost 15 pounds over this offseason and now weighs between 220 and 225 pounds, ESPN.com's Jenna Laine reports.

Analysis:

Evans' weight is now around where it was during his college days at Texas A&M, and he hopes it'll help him bounce back from what he calls a "bad" 2015 season. Although Evans still totaled 1,206 receiving yards last year, he also led the league with 11 drops and his touchdown count dropped from 12 in his rookie year to just three. Going into Sunday's season opener in Atlanta, Evans is focused on being more consistent, which is a scary proposition for opposing defenses to consider, as the 23-year-old has already proven wildly productive despite any shortcomings through his first couple seasons.
