Packers' Nelson 'full go' for season opener vs. Jaguars
Jordy Nelson doesn't appear to be dealing with any sort of limitations as he gets set for his first regular-season action since 2014.
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Monday that the team expects their star receiver to be at full strength for Sunday's Week 1 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
"Jordy's full go," McCarthy said, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "And we expect him to line up and be full bore in Jacksonville."
Nelson's return is, of course, a massive addition for Green Bay's offense. Their typically dominant passing game struggled after he was lost to a torn ACL during the preseason last year.
The 31-year-old should once again contribute as Aaron Rodgers' No. 1 target, as he looks to recapture the level of production that most recently saw him put together a career-best season.
He started all 16 games for Green Bay's top-ranked scoring offense in 2014, hauling in 98 receptions for 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns.
