Report: Steelers, Brown restructure deal with more cash upfront

Charles LeClaire / USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers and wide receiver Antonio Brown have agreed to a restructured contract, Pro Football Talk reports.

The deal will reportedly move $4 million Brown was set to earn in 2017 to this season, boosting Brown's 2016 earnings from $6.25 million to $10.25 million.

Brown's contract still has two years remaining, and it appears highly likely he and the Steelers will work on a more significant extension after the 2016 season. Indeed, multiple sources report the Steelers have promised Brown they will give him a new deal in 2017.
