Broncos' Emmanuel Sanders: Misses practice with illness

Sanders missed Tuesday's practice due to an illness, Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Entering his seventh NFL season, the 29-year-old Sanders would presumably sit out Thursday's preseason finale against the Cardinals, regardless of his health/injury status. Although the Broncos kick things off a few days earlier than the rest of the league, Sanders should have plenty of time to recover for next Thursday's season opener against Carolina. He'll be working with Trevor Siemian, who beat out Mark Sanchez and Paxton Lynch in a competition for the starting quarterback job.
