Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger: Among key players to rest Thursday
Roethlisberger is among the Steelers' mainstays who will not play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Panthers.
Analysis:
The Steelers will take no chances with a number of key players on both sides of the ball, with offensive cogs Le'Veon Bell, DeAngelo Williams, Antonio Brown and Markus Wheaton also slated to sit out Thursday's contest. Roethlisberger's next opportunity to play in a game will arrive on Sept. 12, when Pittsburgh faces Washington on the road in Week 1.
