Cardinals' David Johnson: Makes most of brief appearance
Johnson had six carries for 28 yards and a touchdown and one reception for no yards on two targets in Sunday's preseason game against the Texans.
Analysis:
Johnson made the most of his two drives, before giving way to Chris Johnson, who handled the third and final series with the first-team offense. Andre Ellington then came in with Drew Stanton and the second-stringers, suggesting David Johnson is done for the afternoon. While Chris Johnson and Ellington both figure to have roles of some sort, David Johnson is the unquestioned lead back in one of the NFL's most powerful attacks. He's also the clear favorite for passing-down and goal-line work.
