Titans' Delanie Walker: Gets checked out after exit from Saturday's game

Walker, who required an hour to catch his breath after leaving Saturday's preseason game against the Raiders in the second quarter, is awaiting the results of tests performed to try help determine what led to the tight end's issue, the Tennessean reports. "I just couldn't catch my breath," Walker said after Saturday's game. "We're just making sure everything is OK. It was pretty scary."

Analysis:

With regard to getting checked out after his breathing issue Saturday, Walker added "they just brought me in, checked my lungs, making sure I was able to breathe, tested my blood and stuff...we really won't know until we get back to the facility and go from there." While the situation is clearly worth monitoring, Walker did indicate afterward that he "feel(s) fine now," adding that "it was probably just an episode." For his part, in his post-game comments, coach Mike Mularkey downplayed Walker's issue, suggesting that the tight end is "going to be fine, just lost his breath there a little bit and you know we played as smart with him, but he's fine."
