Ravens' Terrance West: Adds to strong preseason

West gained 43 yards on seven carries in Saturday's preseason game against the Lions.

Analysis:

Justin Forsett and Kenneth Dixon (knee) got most of the first-team work, with West mixing in for a few snaps. After Dixon left the game with a knee injury shortly before halftime, West and Javorius Allen shared the backfield until late in the fourth quarter, with the latter gaining 15 yards on eight carries and 17 yards on four receptions. Justin Forsett seems to be locked in as the starter, but the Baltimore backfield is still difficult to assess, with Dixon, West and Allen all having a case to get touches. West could have a role Week 1 against the Bills, as he's arguably been the most impressive of the bunch this preseason, and Dixon may not even available.
