The Atlanta Falcons are in the market for a safety after rookie Keanu Neal went down with a knee injury that's expected to sideline him for three-to-four weeks.

The team will work out free-agent veteran Dashon Goldson on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Goldson would be moving on to his third team in three years if the Falcons sign him, as his play has steadily declined since his time with the San Francisco 49ers from 2007-12.

Still, Goldson racked up 110 tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble last season on a beleaguered Washington Redskins defense in 2015.

The veteran could end up being a stop-gap roster player for Dan Quinn's defense until Neal fully recovers.
