Falcons' Mohamed Sanu: Hauls in pair of receptions Thursday

Sanu secured two of three targets for 19 yards in Thursday's 17-6 preseason loss to the Dolphins.

Analysis:

The presumed No. 2 receiver wasn't targeted often despite Julio Jones' early exit with an ankle injury, yet was efficient with the opportunities he received. Sanu took a fairly wicked shot near the sideline on one of his receptions, but escaped unscathed. While nothing in his skill set particularly stands out, the former Bengal figures to receive a decent amount of attention from Matt Ryan while starting opposite Jones, a role that should also afford him plenty of single coverage as the season unfolds.
