Jets' Jordan Jenkins: Remains sidelined Wednesday

Jenkins (calf) sat out of practice Wednesday, Darryl Slater of NJ.com reports.

Analysis:

Jenkins left Monday's practice early with a calf injury and was given another day off Wednesday for further rest and recovery. It's reportedly nothing serious and shouldn't linger into the regular season, although there's a good chance he's held out of Saturday's preseason matchup with the Giants for precautionary reasons. We should hear more on his status in the coming few days.
