Texans' Jadeveon Clowney: Working on alternate moves

Clowney, who frequently uses a bull-rush technique when rushing the quarterback, has been working on other moves that he hasn't broken out yet, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

The bull-rush move was very effective in preseason Week 2 when he dropped New Orleans' Drew Brees for a 14-yard loss, but there might be a point where he needs something else against some of the better offensive lineman in the NFL. "If he can keep running them over and getting sacks, maybe one move will be good enough," Houston defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel said. "You know everybody in this league is pretty good. He's going to run into some guys where he'll have to use some alternative stuff and he has that in his repertoire. He's been working on it. We'll keep working and see how good he can become." The Texans are hopeful that Clowney continues to improve after two injury-riddled seasons to begin his career.
