Chiefs' Jamaal Charles: Continues to progress

In his fourth practice since coming off the PUP, Charles (knee) did some work in full-team drills Tuesday, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Analysis:

Charles' continued progress is encouraging, but the Kansas City Star notes that the Chiefs aren't inclined to push the running back into preseason action. When asked Tuesday if Charles or LB Tamba Hali were candidates to take the field Saturday against the Bears or next week against the Packers, coach Andy Reid said, "only if I feel if they're right, but I'm not going to stick them out there if there's a question on it."
