Browns' Joe Haden: On pace for Week 1

Haden (ankle) said he is "for sure" on pace to be ready for the start of the regular season and will participate in the Browns' joint practices with the Buccaneers later this week, Andrew Gribble of the Browns' official site reports.

Analysis:

Haden has missed the Browns' first two preseason tilts, and may not log a single snap throughout the entirety of preseason play. However, the Browns have thus far appeared content with bringing Haden along slowly from ankle surgery performed in March. It's unclear whether he will be limited during the team's looming string of joint practices in Tampa Bay, but, given his extended absence, a matchup with the likes of Mike Evans could prove effective in regards to preparation for the regular season.
