Texans' Brock Osweiler: Improvement seen in preseason Week 2

Osweiler completed 12 of 19 passes for 124 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Houston's win over New Orleans in preseason Week 2.

Analysis:

The Texans worked in more plays and offensive sets during the second week for Osweiler, who played into the second quarter. The extended workload served to offer a good look at Osweiler's interaction with his new rookie wideouts -- Will Fuller and Braxton Miller -- who combined for 12 targets. His fade route touchdown pass to Fuller in the first quarter was as good as it gets. Working behind a makeshift line -- four of five projected starters didn't play -- Osweiler was better this week than what he showed in preseason Week 1 against the 49ers. His major blemish was a second attempted fade route to Fuller that was underthrown and resulted in an interception. The bottom line, it looks like Osweiler has a wealth of targets and this could be a productive offense in the NFL this season, provided the offensive line returns to full health.
