Texans' Clowney terrorizes Saints in preseason action

Matthew Emmons / USA TODAY Sports

Through two seasons, the Houston Texans have waited to see the destruction Jadeveon Clowney can lay when healthy.

They caught a glimpse Saturday night.

Playing into the second half of the Texans' preseason game against the New Orleans Saints, Clowney recorded just two tackles and one sack, but his impact was felt off of the box score.

The 2014 first overall pick has plenty of time left to make good on his promise, that is if he's over his knee and foot problems. If he can be an ever-present threat outside of Whitney Mercilus and provide a complement to Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt, the Texans' defense will be one to avoid.
