There's a reason they call Peyton Manning "The Sheriff."

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller was the subject of a feature by Greg Bishop of Sports Illustrated, and one of the anecdotes he shared in the piece was about how serious Manning took game preparation.

The night before the Broncos' Week 16 matchup against the Houston Texans in 2013, Miller went out clubbing with several teammates and broke curfew. Then-head coach John Fox found out and let them have it in a team meeting, during which, Miller says, Manning suggested they be sent home on the next flight.

Fox decided to let them stay and play, and the Broncos ended up winning the game 37-13. However, Miller tore his ACL in the first quarter and missed the remainder of the season.
