Cardinals' David Johnson: Shines in brief preseason appearance
Johnson made the most of his limited work in Friday's preseason opener against Oakland, gaining 31 yards on three carries while playing just one drive, 98.7 FM Arizona Sports reports.
Analysis:
The highlight was a 23-yard run on which Johnson juked Raiders CB David Amerson, and then used his speed to beat a safety around the corner. Given Johnson's rare combination of speed, power, agility and receiving skills, the only real concern is the possibility he'll share work with Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington. Even if all three backs are somewhat involved, there's no question Johnson will be the centerpiece.
