Packers' Aaron Rodgers: Status unclear for Thursday

Analysis:

Rodgers sat out the Packers' preseason game Friday, and as of now, it's uncertain whether coach Mike McCarthy will have him play in this week's subsequent exhibition. McCarthy indicated Monday that Rodgers' status will be influenced by which offensive linemen ultimately play, thus ensuring any risk is as minimal as possible. Rodgers obviously doesn't need many preseason snaps to be prepared for Week 1, so it's really just a matter of when those snaps will come in Green Bay's remaining preseason slate.
