Cowboys' Tony Romo: Misses Sunday's session

Romo (collarbone) missed Sunday's walkthrough and will sit out the subsequent practice, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

On Friday, head coach Jason Garrett stated his belief that Romo wouldn't be limited in training camp, but the Cowboys will clearly follow their in-season practice pattern from seasons past and hold him out on occasion. While the schedule was created to keep Romo fresh and likely to sidestep the instances in which an ailment can occur, 2015 was yet another example that all the precaution in the world can only go so far. He'll have an opportunity to prove his current state during the first padded practice of camp Monday, while a scheduled day off Wednesday justified the Cowboys' decision to hold out the veteran signal-caller Sunday.
