Patriots' Julian Edelman: Spotted running routes

Edelman (foot), who was spotted running routes off to the side while his teammates practiced Thursday, was "moving at a good clip," CSN New England reports.

Analysis:

Edelman, who underwent surgery on his left foot in April, has opened training camp on the Patriots' active/PUP list. While the team has not offered a timetable for Edelman's possible return to practice, the wideout appears to be moving in the right direction and trending toward being on the field in Week 1, when the Patriots take on the Cardinals while playing Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback.
