Vikings' Taylor Heinicke: Out for three months with torn tendon in ankle
Heinicke will be out for three months after tearing a tendon in his left ankle in mid-July, Ben Goessling of ESPN reports.
Analysis:
Heinicke sustained the injury after attempting to enter his friend's home after the two had been locked out. The third-string quarterback attempted to budge the door open with his foot, but slipped and had his foot go through the window, resulting in a fairly serious injury. Clearly, this is a freak injury and the Vikings are hoping for a recovery by mid-season, but the damage to Heinicke's ankle only holds fantasy importance in the deepest of leagues.
