Texans' Duane Brown: Lands on PUP list

Brown (quadriceps) has been placed on the Texans' PUP list ahead of training camp.

Analysis:

Brown tore his quadriceps during Week 17 of last season, forcing him into a January surgery to repair the ailment. The veteran missed all of OTAs and is expected to miss most of training camp, thus warranting his place on the PUP list. Nonetheless, the veteran shouldn't need all that much preparation time once healthy, so it's still possible he's able to suit up in Week 1. With new quarterback Brock Osweiler's blind side to protect, it'll be worthwhile to track Brown's progress in the coming weeks.
