The Washington Redskins worked out free-agent quarterback Jimmy Clausen on Monday, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Redskins currently have veteran Colt McCoy and rookie Nate Sudfeld behind starter Kirk Cousins, but could be looking for another experienced arm with training camp looming.

The former second-round pick spent the 2015 season with the Chicago Bears and the Baltimore Ravens, appearing in four games and starting three.

In those games, Clausen threw two touchdowns and four interceptions.

Along with Clausen, the Redskins brought in a group of pass-catchers for a workout, including former Ravens wideout Marlon Brown, adds Rapoport.

Brown's production has steadily declined since an impressive rookie season, with the 25-year-old catching just 14 passes for 112 yards in 2015.
