Report: Bills targeting Reggie Bush

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills could be looking to add a veteran to their volatile running back group.

The Bills are the favorites to sign free-agent running back Reggie Bush, reports Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

However, Bush is weighing his options and is in no rush to sign, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

With Karlos Williams suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy and rookie Jonathan Williams charged for a DWI, the position has suddenly become vulnerable.

Even incumbent starter LeSean McCoy has dealt with his own legal issues stemming from a bar brawl in February, though he won't face league discipline for the incident.

Bush amassed just 47 total yards in five games for the San Francisco 49ers in 2015 due to a nagging calf injury. His season was cut short after he slipped on the concrete that outlined the playing field in St. Louis and tore his ACL.
