Former highest paid defenders Watt, Cox congratulate Miller on record deal

The Denver Broncos made linebacker Von Miller the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history Friday, giving him a six-year deal worth a reported $114 million with $70 million guaranteed.

In the wake of the blockbuster announcement, a few of the players who formerly held the title "highest-paid defensive player in history" congratulated Miller on his deal:

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, whose eight-year, $108.88-million deal ($51.8 million guaranteed) made him the highest-paid defender in 2014, weighed in first:

Next up was Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Fletcher Cox, who briefly held the title after signing a seven-year, $110.79-million contract ($63 million guaranteed) in June:
