Patriots' Tom Brady: Suspension appeal denied
The Second U.S. District Court of Appeals denied Brady's request for a second hearing on Wednesday, Daniel Kaplan of the SportsBusiness Journal reports.
Analysis:
Brady will now be forced to serve the four-game suspension he was handed following the Deflategate scandal at the beginning of the 2016 season, unless he decides to appeal to the Supreme Court. Without Brady at the helm, it's expected that backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will start the first four games of the season. Brady will be able to return Week 5 against the Browns.
