Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley believes he will sit atop the fantasy football mountain in 2016.

During an appearance on NFL Network on Friday, Gurley said there's no doubt where he should be taken in fantasy drafts for this upcoming season.

"No. 1 overall for sure," Gurley said, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

The former first-round pick then backed off his comments slightly, saying there are a few others who also deserve consideration for the top fantasy spot.

"You maybe could choose Antonio Brown over me, but no one else. Maybe Cam (Newton). That's it," Gurley said.

Gurley finished the 2015 season as fantasy football's fifth-highest scoring running back, despite missing the first three games of his rookie year.

With No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff alongside him in the backfield - a prospect that has Gurley excited - the 21-year-old is in position to exceed his fantasy performance from last season.
