Report: Contract negotiations between Sanders, Broncos on hold

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Entering the final season of his three-year deal, Emmanuel Sanders' future with the Denver Broncos is unknown - for now.

Mike Klis of 9News reports that contract talks between Sanders and the Broncos have not been called off, but they are on hold.

Sanders said recently that he is unconcerned by his contract negotiations and that he would like to eventually retire as a Bronco when his career comes to an end.

The 29-year-old is set to earn $5.6 million next season after recording back-to-back seasons with over 1,100 receiving yards.

The Broncos are also currently trying to get a deal done with All-Pro linebacker Von Miller, who has been franchise tagged, ahead of the July 15th deadline to sign players who have been tagged.

Denver is scheduled to open its training camp July 28.
