Jets' Marshall: Bowles wants me below 230 lbs for camp

New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles apparently wants to see the faster version of Brandon Marshall.

The wide receiver revealed in a video posted on Twitter that Bowles has challenged him to arrive at training camp below 230 pounds.

"This is the face you make when Todd Bowles says 'I want you below 230 all season,'" Marshall said. "I haven't been 230, well, I got down to 230 last year but for the past five years my average has been around 234-235. But he said, 'Brandon you were so fast in Miami. That's what I want you at.'"

Despite having one of the best seasons of his career in 2015, Marshall is 32 years old - an age where receivers begin to decline.

It appears the Jets are intent on extending his prime, and while Marshall didn't look too thrilled, you can't question the commitment of a man prepared to eat grouper and blueberries.
