The Brett Hundley love is reaching a fever pitch in Green Bay this offseason.

The fifth-round pick has impressed during mini camps, to the point that his development allowed the Packers to move on from backup quarterback Scott Tolzien.

While he's performed well in his short time with the Packers, Hundley's competitive spirit is what the franchise is most excited about.

"He's right there with Aaron (as a competitor)," quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt said, according to Ryan Wood of USA Today Network. "Those two go head-to-head in every competition we have. There's a lot of talking between the two of them, a lot of bragging rights. He's as competitive as there is."

The rave reviews are't being limited to Hundley's on-field ferociousness. The second-year quarterback is equally competitive when it comes to ping-pong, his teammates say, and really, anything.

"I absolutely despise and hate losing," Hundley said. "I love winning, but my hate for losing is really strong."

While the competitive fire remains stoked for Hundley as he sits behind a future Hall of Famer, he's aware that he'll be holding a clipboard for a long time if he remains with the Packers. That's an opportunity the UCLA product relishes.

"A lot of these guys get thrown into the fire," Hundley said of rookie quarterbacks, "and go downhill from there. To have this opportunity to learn - and learn from the best - it really will allow you to, when you do step into the game, to be that much better and ready for that moment."

"Obviously, Aaron is one of the best, if not the best, to ever do it. Hopefully, I can follow that up."
