Bears' Leonard Floyd: Impressive in Bears' minicamp

On occasion during minicamp, some of the Bears' more experienced offensive linemen had trouble slowing down Floyd, Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun Times reports.

Analysis:

With the Bears having spent the ninth pick of the 2016 draft to select Floyd, the team has the expectation that he'll contribute immediately as a pass rusher. His performance in minicamp indicates that the rookie could flourish in defensive coordinator Vic Fangio's defense, especially since Fangio had success getting production out of fast but undersized pass rushers, while he was coaching the 49ers. He'll be a player to watch closely when training camp opens for the Bears next month, especially in terms of his potential role for the upcoming season.
