The New York Giants claimed quarterback Logan Thomas off waivers Friday, according to multiple reports.
Thomas was waived by the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, never playing a snap after being promoted from the team's practice squad.
The 24-year-old will compete with Ryan Nassib for the Giants' backup quarterback slot, with Eli Manning firmly entrenched as the team's starter.
In a corresponding move, the Giants waived quarterback B.J. Daniels.
