Saints' Willie Snead: Expected to start for Saints

Snead caught a touchdown pass from Drew Brees in OTAs on Tuesday, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He is expected to start at receiver for the Saints in 2016.

Analysis:

One of the last players to make the Saints' final 53-man roster at the end of training camp last season, Snead was an unlikely breakout star, yet he quickly emerged as one of Drew Brees' favorite targets. Entering 2016, Snead is the Saints' presumed No. 2 wide receiver -- behind Brandin Cooks -- and there's an expectation for him to expand on his 69 receptions for 984 yards and three touchdowns in 2015. Snead's lack of size hampers his scoring potential however, and the offseason additions of Coby Fleener and Michael Thomas mean additional competition for targets. As such, Snead is a decent PPR option, but his ceiling may be somewhat limited.
