After making the playoffs with a consistently inconsistent quarterback carousel, the Houston Texans needed to find a starter to lead their offense.

After Sam Bradford re-signed with the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of free agency, the Texans identified Brock Osweiler as their man and, so far, they've been quite pleased.

"So far, he's been exactly what we've expected," Head coach Bill O'Brien told John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. "He works extremely hard. He's a very bright guy. He's a good communicator with his teammates. He's very hard on himself."

Osweiler will command an offense featuring All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins, newly-acquired running back Lamar Miller, and rookie receivers Will Fuller and Braxton Miller. The 25-year-old quarterback admitted he had some issues when first learning O'Brien's offense and admits there's still some work to do.

"I still have a long way to go," Osweiler said. "There's a lot I still have to learn. There's a lot I still need to rep on the practice field and things we need to talk through."

Osweiler will continue to work with O'Brien and learn the offense next week as the Texans hold their three-day minicamp.
