At a rally on Friday, presidential candidate Donald Trump suggested that he would be inviting some of his famous friends, including NFL stars Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger, to speak on his behalf at the Republican National Convention.

Apparently he did not check with the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback before including him in his campaign plans.

On Saturday, Roethlisberger told Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he will not attend the convention, nor would he endorse Trump or any other candidate. He called Trump an "acquaintance," saying that the two have played golf together, and that Trump had called him to congratulate him after some games.

Brady has yet to comment, but hasn't been shy about his support for Trump in the past.

Trump also suggested that NASCAR chief Brian France, and UFC president Dana White may be in attendance for support.
