Gronkowski 'on the same page' as Patriots after missed OTAs

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski shrugged off the notion that his absence at recent OTAs is an indication of trouble in his relationship with the team.

"No, I'm present (at the team facility). Just doing other things," Gronkowski told reporters at a Pro Camps event he hosted with his family on Saturday. "I'm participating fully with what the coaches have me doing. We're all good. We're all on the same page."

There has been speculation that Gronkowski will push for a new contract. Set to earn $34.5 million over the next four years, it's hard to argue the NFL's best tight end isn't severely underpaid.

Gronkowski suggested his absence from offseason practices is more about the team's desire to keep him healthy for the regular season than a contract dispute. Considering the injuries Gronkowski has battled in recent seasons, the team certainly could be looking to keep Tom Brady's premier weapon on ice as long as possible.
