Bears' White facing no setbacks with leg after missing rookie year

Chicago Bears wide receiver Kevin White missed his entire rookie season due to a fractured tibia, but says he's pain free entering the 2016 campaign.

White, selected seventh overall by the Bears in 2015, figures to become a vital part of the team's passing game after watching from the sidelines last year.

After a year of rehabilitation, White says he's ready to go.

"It feels great. No problems; no issues; no restraints," White said to The MMQB's Jenny Vrentas. "I wouldn't be able to tell you I was hurt last year if I didn’t know that. The leg isn't giving me any problems, thank God. I'm trying to move forward, and make my future."

White said that he's drawing inspiration from Julio Jones, Larry Fitzgerald, and Demaryius Thomas, while he acclimates to the professional game.

"I watch our receivers, Alshon [Jeffery] and Eddie [Royal], seeing how they move guys different ways," White said. "I will watch Julio [Jones], Larry [Fitzgerald], and a lot of other receivers. I am a big fan of Larry, and we are pretty cool friends. And I am pretty cool friends with Demaryius Thomas, so I watch him. I tried to just soak up as much knowledge as I could."

After missing his rookie year, White is looking forward to the surreal experience of suiting up for an NFL game for the first time.

"It is still a dream for me, because I didn't play a game yet. But I know I will have a lot of emotion, and maybe some nerves. I'm not going to go out there and say what people should expect from me. But hopefully, they'll like it."
