Malik Jackson called out his former teammate Brock Osweiler for skipping the Denver Broncos' appearance at the White House on Monday.

Jackson signed a lucrative six-year, $90-million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the offseason, but joined his former teammates as they were honored by President Barack Obama for winning Super Bowl 50.

Osweiler, who joined the Houston Texans on a four-year, $72-million deal, elected to skip the appearance and practiced with his new club instead.

Jackson said he didn't understand Osweiler's decision to miss a chance to meet Obama and take part in the ceremony.

"I mean, I can't even comprehend the fact of not missing a practice," Jackson said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. "For me, that was big. I think for for me being able to go meet Mr. Obama and do that, especially on his way out, to meet the first black President of the United States, man, I wouldn't even miss that for the world. For me, I can't understand it but he has a lot of pressure on him, he's on a new team, he has to (prove himself) to people being a quarterback, you have a lot of pressure and a lot of expectations.

Jackson said he understands Osweiler's commitment to the Texans, but skipping a chance to go to the White House remains unfathomable.

"People expect you to win a Super Bowl the first year, so I think he has a lot of pressure on him and he kind of decided to leave the team that he used to play with behind him. I get that, that's why I'm not going to the ring ceremony in Denver, I feel like I kinda have to focus on my new team. To meet the president is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Both players will see each other twice a year as part of AFC South rivalry games, and Jackson will likely have every opportunity to tell Osweiler how he feels when the Texans and Jaguars square off.
