Texans' Braxton Miller: Signs rookie deal with Houston

Miller signed a four-year, $3.11 million contract with the Texans, the Houston Chronicle reports. The deal includes a signing bonus of $709,103.

Analysis:

Miller is one of two wideouts selected in the first three rounds of the 2016 draft -- first-round pick Will Fuller is the other. The two were selected to add some athleticism to the Houston offense, though Miller is behind Fuller, developmentally, and may not be a big target during his rookie season. The converted quarterback has played one season as a wide receiver, catching 26 passes for 341 yards and three touchdowns while playing mostly the slot last season for The Ohio State. The Texans plan to work him both inside and outside.
