The 28-year-old linebacker spent the first five years of his career in Atlanta before spending the 2015 season as a member of the Arizona Cardinals.

Weatherspoon recalls watching Atlanta games last season with fellow former Falcon Corey Peters and forgetting which team he was playing for.

"I remember a time where I couldn't even hear the linebacker standing next to me, or I couldn't even hear the calls coming in from the sideline because of the atmosphere in the Dome."

The fiery linebacker has always been a loud voice on the field and expects to bring that presence back to the Falcons.

"I'm always going to have fun out there. I'm always going to get guys going and get guys riled up because enthusiasm is free," said Weatherspoon. "Even fake enthusiasm can cause some good things
