The Kansas City Chiefs signed center Drew Nowak, the team announced on Tuesday.

Nowak started seven games at center for the Seattle Seahawks last season, but was eventually benched in favor of Patrick Lewis.

The 26-year-old is expected to compete against Mitch Morse for the Chiefs' starting center role.

Kansas City also signed defensive back Shannon Edwards, along with offensive linemen Garrick Mayweather and Zach Sterup.
