Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee will be arraigned in Kentucky on Thursday on charges stemming from an April altercation that allegedly left a victim unconscious.

Higbee will plead not guilty to two second-degree charges, one for assault, the other for evading police and public intoxication, his lawyer told A.J. Perez of USA Today.

"He's in good spirits and is excited about the opportunity to play with the Rams," lawyer Brian Lowder said.

The former Western Kentucky standout left a man unconscious for at least 20 minutes outside a Bowling Green club on April 10 after the victim allegedly got close to him and his girlfriend before getting in his face.

After fleeing the scene initially, hiding behind some trees near a church, Higbee was apprehended and determined to be "heavily intoxicated."
