The Arizona Cardinals have selected cornerback Brandon Williams out of Texas A&M in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, 92nd overall.

A former college running back, Williams switched to cornerback prior to the 2015 season. He started 13 games there for the Aggies, registering 37 tackles and seven pass breakups.

He turned in a blazing 4.37 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine, one of the top times for the position.

With only one season under his belt at cornerback, he has a lot to learn to be effective at the professional level. With stars like Tyrann Mathieu and Patrick Peterson on the field in Arizona, Williams couldn't ask for a better landing spot.
