After selecting Notre Dame offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley with the sixth pick of the first round in the NFL draft, some speculated that the Baltimore Ravens would move on from last year's starting left tackle Eugene Monroe.

Ravens offensive line coach Juan Castillo says that Stanley and Monroe will compete for the starting left job, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun. The team will look to find the five best offensive linemen to play.

There was speculation that Monroe or Stanley may move inside to the guard position, but that no longer appears to be the case. Stanley said at his introductory press conference that he had only played guard once in college during a spring game after a teammate was injured.

Monroe started six games for the Ravens last season and has started 90 of his 93 games played through his eight-year career split between Baltimore and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
