The Denver Broncos called the Philadelphia Eagles to discuss the possibility of a trade involving disgruntled Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Bradford has reportedly demanded a trade from Philadelphia following the team's trade up to the second overall pick in the NFL draft. The Eagles are widely expected to select a quarterback with the pick.

The Broncos and Eagles did not discuss trade compensation, and the Eagles, who have insisted Bradford remains their starter despite his trade demand, are not inclined to move him, Rapoport adds.

The Broncos are still seeking a starting quarterback following the retirement of Peyton Manning and the departure of Brock Osweiler in free agency.

Should Bradford be traded to the Broncos from the Eagles, he would be the second quarterback to follow that path this offseason. In early March, the Broncos traded a conditional 2017 draft pick for Mark Sanchez.
