Dr. James Andrews informed former UCLA linebacker Myles Jack on Friday that he doesn't require microfracture surgery on his knee, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jack was believed to be one of this year's best prospects, but fell out of the first round Thursday because of teams' concerns over his long-term health, with the linebacker recently admitting he may need microfracture surgery in the future.

Dr. Andrews, who has worked with some of the league's top players, examined Jack in December, and is now apparently giving him the green light, although it's unclear if he means Jack doesn't need the surgery now, or will never need it.

But if it's true Jack's future health is no longer such a major concern, there will likely be a battle for his services at the start of the second round.

However, Jones reportedly won't be there to hear his name potentially being called. After attending the first round of the draft, Jack has opted to watch Day 2 of the event at a Chicago hotel, a source told Schefter.
