Josh Norman appears to be just as excited to renew a rivalry as the rest of the football world is to see it.

The star cornerback, who joined the Washington Redskins on a reported five-year, $75-million deal over the weekend, was officially introduced to the media as part of a press conference held Monday.

Among the many topics he touched upon was the opportunity for a pair of annual matchups with New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Norman and Beckham, of course, went head-to-head for an explosive showdown in Week 15 of this past season. The two playmakers consistently got after one another both during the play and after the whistle, and multiple unnecessary roughness penalties landed Beckham a one-game suspension he served the following week.

The 2015 All-Pro also explained a number of factors that went into the free-agent decision made after the Carolina Panthers opted to rescind his franchise tag last week.

He said choosing the Redskins was a move his entire family agreed with, meanwhile expressing a feeling that Washington is a team "on the rise" heading into 2016.

Adding a player of Norman's caliber in the secondary will go a long way toward improving a defense coming off a year in which it surrendered a 25th-ranked 258 yards per game.
